Talitha kum in Ghana
The Training Course of Talitha Kum in Ghana ends today, March 16, 2018. Twenty three religious women from 17 congregations, ten religious men from 5 congregations and a lay person attended the training. Most of the participants were from different regions of Ghana and some from Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Nigeria. The trainer was Mr. Stefano Volpicelli, who involved representatives of Governmental, Non-Governmental and United Nations Organizations engaged in Ghana against human trafficking.
Three days of the course were dedicated to deepening the reality of trafficking in people around the world and specifically in Ghana. During the last two days the participants worked together to create an organizational model of collaboration against trafficking, matching the local diversity and culture. At the end of this process the Talitha Kum Network in Ghana was officially born.
