“Being appointed as the Regional Representative for North America for the Talitha Kum International Coordination Committee is both an honor and a profound responsibility. It invites me to listen deeply—to the voices of those affected by human trafficking and to the wisdom of the many individuals and networks already committed to this mission. I see this role not as speaking for others, but as strengthening connections and amplifying collective efforts rooted in dignity and justice.
Stepping onto this international platform, I feel a deep sense of gratitude and humility. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and for the countless individuals and communities whose commitment has shaped Talitha Kum into a global movement. This role humbly calls me to remain a learner, to collaborate across differences, and to rely on shared wisdom to address the realities of exploitation and injustice.
Above all, I accept this call to hope and action. It challenges me to nurture hope in the face of suffering, build partnerships, and advocate for meaningful change. I come with a commitment to service, trusting in the power of collective action to uphold human dignity and bring about transformation. Guided by the spirit of Talitha Kum—“arise”—I am reminded that transformation is always possible, and that together we can work toward a future marked by justice and freedom for all.”
