Lisa Kristine’s “Nuns healing hearts” exhibition at UISG headquarters

Come visit the anti-trafficking Exhibition!

The photo exhibition illustrates the work of over two thousand women religious of Talitha Kum network, that has been engaged in supporting survivors of trafficking for ten years. Launched by Pope Francis in the prestigious atrium of the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican during the private audience hold with 850 superiors general, the photographs of the world-renowned humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine will land at UISG headquarters, Rome on June 5th 2019.

The images of "Nuns healing hearts" exhibition reflect Lisa Kristine’s unique style, far from simple reporting, but rather sensitive and diversified. The photographer has spent 18 months on the front lines of Italy, Guatemala, Mexico, the United States and Thailand, documenting the humble work of these courageous frontline nuns rescuing and supporting survivors of trafficking.

The exhibition will open to the public on June 5, 12 and 19. Advanced booking via email (see email address below) is mandatory. The tour will start at 4 pm and will be guided by sr. Gabriella Bottani, international coordinator of Talitha Kum, who will tell visitors about her travel experience with Lisa Kristine, the challenging context where the religious women work, and also the happy-ending stories of those who, thanks to the network, succeeded in escaping the hell of trafficking, regained self-confidence and started a new life.
