A Message of Gratitude from Sr. Paula: 3 Years of Shared Mission as Regional Coordinator for Talitha Kum Asia
Serving as the Regional Coordinator for Talitha Kum Asia has been a deeply meaningful journey. This role has shaped not only my professional path but also my personal growth. As I step down, I pause with a heart full of reflection and gratitude for the experiences, challenges, and relationships that have defined this chapter.
I am especially grateful to Rev. Mother Maria Goretti Lee, former General Superior of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, and Sr. Agnes Sritrakul, the Provincial of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres of Thailand, for allowing me to work with the Talitha Kum networks. I appreciate the trust and confidence placed in me by entrusting me with this responsibility.
The opportunity to serve as regional coordinator for Talitha Kum Asia has been both an honor and a privilege. It has allowed me to grow in unexpected ways; developing my leadership, deepening my sense of mission, and strengthening my commitment to service. I recognize that this role was not only a task but a calling, and I am sincerely thankful for the chance to contribute meaningfully. It has been a privilege to walk alongside dedicated individuals committed to justice, compassion, and the dignity of every person.
I am grateful to God for the many blessings received throughout this time: the strength in moments of challenge, the wisdom found through collaboration, and the grace that carried us through both successes and struggles. Each encounter, effort, and small victory has been a reminder of God’s presence guiding our work.
This position has allowed me to work with committed individuals who share a common vision and dedication to end human trafficking. Together, we have built connections, strengthened the networks, and supported one another through successes and difficulties. I am truly thankful for the trust, collaboration, and encouragement I have received during my tenure.
There have been challenging moments, but each has taught valuable lessons about leadership, resilience, and the importance of listening and adapting. I leave this role with a deeper understanding of teamwork and a profound respect for the work that continues beyond my time here.
To everyone I have had the privilege to work with, particularly with the TKICC, thank you for your support, patience, and shared passion. While I step away from this position, I carry forward the friendships and insights gained, and I remain confident in the ongoing growth and success of the Talitha Kum networks.
I offer this prayer:
Gracious God,
I thank You, Lord, for the journey that we have shared
and for the seeds planted through Talitha Kum networks.
Continue to bless and guide all those who serve within it.
Grant them wisdom, perseverance, and hearts open to Your call.
May their efforts bear abundant fruit, bringing hope, justice,
and healing to those in need and vulnerable.
Bless the Talitha Kum networks, especially in Asia,
with unity and purpose to end human trafficking,
and may Your love be the foundation of all that is done.
Amen.
With sincere gratitude and hope,
Sr. Paula Phonprasertruksa, SPC
