Youth Ambassadors Across Asia Unite to Prevent Human Trafficking

Young people from across Asia are stepping up to take action against one of the biggest human rights issues of our time—human trafficking. From March to August 2025, Talitha Kum Asia is running an inspiring online training program designed to equip youth with the skills, knowledge, and heart to protect their communities and speak out for justice.

28 young leaders, aged 18 to 35, from Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Philippines, have joined this journey. They're becoming Youth Ambassadors—ready to raise awareness, lead local actions, and inspire others to stand up against trafficking and exploitation.

But this isn’t just another online course. It’s a space where real stories are shared, deep conversations happen, and powerful ideas for actions. Through interactive sessions, participants explore the root causes of trafficking, how it affects lives across the world, and what they can do—starting right where they are, in their schools, communities, universities, and online circles.

They’ll also hear directly from survivors of trafficking and learn from senior youth ambassadors who’ve already taken action. It’s all about growing together, learning from each other, and building a strong, supportive network of young changemakers.

One of the most exciting parts of the program is its intercultural richness. Young people from different countries, cultures, languages, and religions come together virtually, forming powerful bonds and a united voice. In their diversity, they find strength and solidarity in their shared mission.

Now in its third edition, this training is part of a bigger initiative led by Talitha Kum, with support from the International Union of Superiors General (UISG). Together, they’re creating a global network of hope, action, and resistance against trafficking.

By the end of the program, these Youth Ambassadors will return to their communities ready to lead campaigns, spark conversations, and be changemakers among their peers. Whether it’s through local events, social media, or creative community projects, they’ll keep spreading the message loud and clear.

And what’s that message? Talitha Kum “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” (Mk 5:41)

It’s a call to all young people—to rise up, speak out, and help build a world where everyone is safe, free, and valued.

The network is growing. Are you in?
