Strengthening efforts and expanding the Talitha Kum network in the Philippines

In March 2025, Talitha Kum Philippines (TKP) expanded its network to the southern region of the country, establishing a presence in the Diocese of Tagum through a formation program that paved the way for local action. Since then, TKP Tagum region has been actively promoting awareness and prevention efforts against human trafficking and exploitation.

As part of this ongoing campaign, TKP Tagum led by Sr. Noemie Digo, MSCS, organized three awareness activities: a youth gathering on May 25 attended by 280 participants; an awareness-raising at a parish in Kimamon, and most recently, a training session for 45 leaders from the Basic Ecclesial Communities and parish ministry.

These initiatives highlight the importance of sustained, community-based engagement in the fight against human trafficking. Through workshops, dialogue, and collaboration with local actors, Talitha Kum Philippines continues to empower communities to identify warning signs, protect vulnerable populations, and uphold human dignity.
