Sr. Yvonne Bambara: 6 Years of Leadership as Regional Coordinator for Talitha Kum Africa
After six years as regional coordinator for Talitha Kum in Africa, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the various local coordinators who have supported me in this mission through their commitment in the field to raising awareness, prevention, advocacy, and support for survivors of trafficking.
I sincerely thank our partners, Youth Ambassadors, and members of the Africa coordination team for their dedication.
Over the past 6 years, 17 African countries have joined Talitha Kum, extending our network of dedicated members united in the fight to protect human dignity. As a result of our efforts, children, women, young people, and men have been saved from trafficking, and we give thanks to God for this.
I would like to thank the international coordinator of Talitha Kum, Sr. Abby Avelino, MM, and the entire international team for their close collaboration.
It is with joy that I pass the torch to Sr. Kayula Lesa, RSC, to continue this noble mission of fighting human trafficking in Africa. May the Lord assist her and may Saint Josephine Bakhita be her inspiration.
Best wishes to Talitha Kum Africa.
Sr. Yvonne Clémence BAMBARA, RGS
