30 July 2023, World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on 30 July 2023, established by the United Nations, Talitha Kum joins the international community committed against trafficking in persons. The theme of this edition is "Reach every victim of trafficking, Leave no One Behind.”

Talitha Kum is organizing an online meeting against human trafficking on 28 July with the participation of committed young people from all over the world, who will share ideas and good practices. Join us: Walking on the Path of Dignity, LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND!

The event is an encounter of young people committed to anti-trafficking: working together is the best way to fight trafficking in persons! Through international networking, sharing, dialogue, and celebrating successes, we can protect dignity "like a light that never goes out", as Pope Francis called for on 8 February 2023.

On July 30, Talitha Kum invites all people to join the social campaign by sharing experiences in caring for and empowering people who have been trafficked using the official hashtag of the day:#CareAgainstTrafficking

In addition, as this year is dedicated to young people, a delegation from Talitha Kum International will participate in World Youth Day (WYD 2023) in Lisbon (1-6 August), with young people gathering from all over the world with the Pope. Visit Talitha Kum / CAVITP booth at the Vocational Fair inside the City of Joy (Belém, in the Vasco da Gama Garden) to engage participants in activities to raise awareness about human trafficking.
