ACRATH National Conference
The 2016 ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans) National Conference took place in Sydney, Australia, in February. The theme of this year’s conference was No to Exploitation, Yes to Dignity. Sr Anne Tormey rsm, President of ACRATH, opened the conference with a reflection on the Year of Mercy and the presentation of her annual report. Understanding and harnessing the supply chain from an advocacy point of view was the topic addresses by keynote speaker Brynn O’Brien.
The conference was also an opportunity for ACRATH members to be informed about domestic and global issues with regard to human trafficking and slavery and to discuss how they might respond.
