Rebirth of a Queen (Kenya)

GOAL 60000 tokens

Rebirth of a Queen is a grassroots organization founded by Akinyi Pauline Juma, who survived sexual and domestic violence as a teenager in Kibera slums in Nairobi, Kenya.

Rebirth of a Queen aims to empower and protect vulnerable groups holistically from sexual and gender-based violence and human trafficking in Kenya through sustainable rescue shelters supporting women and girls, practical mentorship, and applicable education

Pauline and her collaborators focus on teaching technical skills through mentorship and program opportunities, where survivors can focus on media skills, fashion design, coding, and much more to help boost employability potential and personal empowerment. The organization plans to introduce new courses in the near future, including barista and cosmetology training, to further solidify the impact of their skills training programs.
